Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is made from recycled wood fiber making it a "green" material, but not all MDF is equal. AC Doors use premium MDF in all their doors to not only help the environment, but to create a healthier living space.
NAF vs NAUF
To create MDF, a formaldehyde resin is typically added to bind the wood fibers. Some manufacturers use NAUF MDF, where no urea formaldehyde is used. AC Doors uses NAF MDF, no added formaldehyde of any kind, a higher standard to ensure better indoor air quality.
MR30 RATING STANDARD
You need interior doors to be able to stand up to moisture in bathrooms but why stop there? All AC interior doors are built with MR30 MDF as standard, providing 30% more moisture resistance than regular MDF.
AC Doors is also LEED V4 certified and works with FSC certified suppliers for projects that with sustainable building requirements.
